How To: Make a Sock Bun

So if any of you have tried to make a sock bun, you know it’s hard. But I have found a way to make it to make it a little easier. Picture 76

First pull your hair into a high ponytail, make sure it’s nice and snug to your scalp.

Then taking your bun ring or sock,  pull all your hair through it until the bun maker sits on the top of your head.

Then spread out your hair evenly until it covers the whole bun maker.

Take a thin hair elastic and put that over the whole bun to secure it.

If you have any extra hair hanging down braid it, and secure it with bobby pins.

Review: The Little Green Book Of Beauty

Hey guys! I just wanted to tell you about this book.

I really like this book because it tells you about what they put in makeup so I can know what is irritating my skin. So hear is what I learned to  look out for.

  • Parabens are used as preservatives an in lot of things like: cosmetics, toothpaste, lotion, bubble bath, shampoo, conditioner and they are also used as food additives. Why this is bad? They have been also known to cause cancer.
  • (SLS) also know as sodium lauryl sulfate this is a strong detergent and a foaming agent. This is mostly used in: bubble bath, shampoo, conditioner, dish soap (duh), and body wash. Why is this bad? This product can irritate your eyes, skin and mucous membranes. Also it can cause allergic reactions.
  • Sodium benzoate this is an antimicrobial preservative used mostly used in:  food, makeup and makeup wipes. Why is this bad?  This has been liked to health problems including gastric irritation, numbing of the mouth and nettle rash.
  •  (SLES) or Sodium laureth sulfate this is not as bad as SLS this is a foaming agent deliver from coconut. This is supposed to be more  gentle on the skin so look for SLES not SLS.

Beauty Advisory: Buns For Long Hair

Question:

Dear Chloe,

I have tried and tried again to get a perfect bun. Most of my friends can just flip their head over and conjure  one up. Me? Well,  five cans of hair spray and 20 minutes later–poof!

How can I get the perfect bun in 5 minutes?

Sincerely,

Strictly Stuck-

Answer:

Wow, I have to say I have the same problem.  My hair gets all over the place when I try to put it into a bun. I  have a solution for you:

PRACTICE!

This is going to be harder for longer hair, so I understand.  But the best way I can think of doing it is taking your time and not just whipping it into place. The more time you take the less frustrated you’ll be with your results.

How I do it:

  1. Pull your hair into a high ponytail.
  2. Now twist your hair into a coil and wrap it up  using a hair band or hairpins to keep it in place once in a bun shape.

Now if you don’t like how it looks try using a donut ring  or jaw clips. Play around with it.

I hope that covers what you’re asking,

Chloe.

Hairstyles: Cute Curls & Wonderful Waves

Here are some supper cute hair styles, I really like them!

(12)

This hair style is really easy to do (I did it for x-mas about a year ago) I just curled her hair, Then took two small pieces and twisted them, then tied them in the back.

(17)

If you want to know I used the CHI curling iron with a pretty small barrel.

(18)

All I did for the wonderful hair style is just braid you hair before you go to bed (if you want more wave add hair spray or gel).
